Final race of the Winter Series, and I was now only one point off 2nd spot in the overall series standings. If I could just beat Nathan Holmes again that would take us level on points.

I don't recall a huge amount of this race, other than that the course was infinitely more dry than the previous 3 races. Ultimately Nathan Holmes was a very fast road runner, and the conditions suited him well. Try as I might, I couldn't stay with him, and trundled home in 2nd place, around 45seconds behind the winner. Clubmate Phil Gould, who was leading the series was struggling with injury, and had turned up purely to try and cross the finish line in the top 5 in order to take the title. He hobbled over the finish line in 5th place, taking the series win, Nathan Holmes finishing 2nd in the series, and I finished 3rd which earned me a T-Shirt as a prize.
