I hadn't initially planned to write anything for this race, or even run it for that matter - but since I'd entered the full series of 4 races I thought I may as well complete the course so that I'd be included in the final series standings. My decision not to race was purely down to the fact that I was tapering for the Edinburgh Marathon.

That said, I ran comfortably round this race and loved it. It was a nice course, and it was so enjoyable to run with others towards, but also having that smug feeling inside knowing you could run faster if you wanted to. By the last half mile I couldn't hold back any longer and kicked up a gear for a fast finish, securing 8th place, which was much better than I'd expected actually!
