My first ever race (since primary school cross country!). I was already happy having lost half a stone of weight bringing me down to 15 stone but very much looking forward to my first race.

Training had gone reasonably well other than suffering from shin splints, I was expecting a time hopefully under 55mins having managed just over 55mins in training. Needless to say I was VERY happy with my time and even happier with my position.
